LED ZEPPELIN LEGEND TEAMS UP WITH SEASICK STEVE check out – www.seasicksteve.com Steven Gene Wold, commonly known as Seasick Steve, (born 1941) is an American blues musician, although he prefers to be called “a song and dance man”. He plays guitars (mostly personalized), and sings, usually about his early life doing casual work. Wold was born in Oakland, California. When he was four years old, his parents split up. His father played boogie-woogie piano and at five or six years old, Wold tried to learn but couldn’t. At age eight, he learned to play the guitar (he later found out that it was blues) from KC Douglas, who worked at his grandfather’s garage. Douglas wrote the song “Mercury Blues” and used to play with Tommy Johnson . Wold left home at 13 to avoid abuse at the hands of his stepfather, and lived rough and on the road in Tennessee, Mississippi and elsewhere, until 1973. He would travel long distances by hopping freight trains, looking for work as a farm labourer or in other seasonal jobs, often living as a hobo. At various times, Wold worked as a carnie, cowboy and a migrant worker. Of this time he once said:Hobos are people who move around looking for work, tramps are people who move around but don’t look for work, and bums are people who don’t move and don’t work. I’ve been all three. In the sixties he started touring and performing with fellow blues musicians, and had friends in the music scene including Janis Joplin and Joni Mitchell. Since then, he has worked …

Love the way JPJ also digs the drummer at 2:32
That drummer plays with more energy then drummers half his age. Undeniably awesome all the way around!
tabs?
Everything about this is AMAZING. And with everything I mean EVERYTHING. And EVERYBODY in the vid:) And Steve sounds accactly the same as on the album, which is great and makes him a real artist
who is that awesome hooligan on drums?
John Paul Jones, the best bassist ever
Seasick Steve… knew nothing of him before Top Gear, thank you BBC America.
Just ordered the newest album, can’t wait for the next one.
Big Fan of Steve. Awesome Music!
ITS SO INDESCRIBABLY FUCKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
Check out the drummer at 1:24!
JPJ somehow seems to be the odd one out..

@shackbhoy
He’s a … DAMN IT’S GOOD!
Agree, and I’m an old dog (dig soon “for me”)
@99Kamber99 Two morris minor hubcaps put in on each other with a PVC pipe for a neck.
seriosly.
that’s it.
i’m thinking of following in his steps by turning my old gamecube into a guitar. might just work
@99Kamber99 It’s a guitar, of sorts, made from a broomstick (I believe) and two morris minor hub caps.
Seasick Steve is the most badass pensioner i know
what’s the name of this instrument Seasick Steve is rockin with???
Isn’t it great to see Jonesy smiling and rocking the f*ck out. I just wish he’d turn the bass up. It’s growling away there, but too low in the mix.
WOW!
The Gentleman on the Drums really kicks some ass in my opinion!!!!
Great Upload!THANK YOU!!
the ride cymbal was runover by a bus or something, but still sounds fucking great.
Hell yes!! John Paul Jones!!!
4 old dogs couldn’t learn new tricks
is mit Abstand die geilste Mucke die ich seit langem gehört habe
You know, John Paul Jones looks like Robert Redford.
Your video is a favorite on Swaziland
worst countries are where people don’t even move out of the way for the police or the paramedics….hell they even move in the way sometimes just like they would with normal traffic.
@FA085 No one is saying that there are no beautiful things in Guatemala, in fact, Guatemala in an extremely beautiful country but extremely violent as well. When you live abroad you realize how Guatemalans just try to survive everyday and not live like it should be…
One of the best documentaries I have seen!
i think they should do the thoughest place to be a lifeguard. dublin pools or bondi beach. both have extreme language diffculties ( joking about dublin of course ).
I don’t know how tough is to be a paramedic in Guatemala, but they should come to Juarez
burnout is a risk. But if you really love your job i don’t think you will get burnt out. I know medics who are also firefighters and they been the medic for 8 months and they get burnt out. However i also know medics who are full time medics and been medics for 20 years and still loves it.
such a good series!
@nmngirl It’s in the title LOL. “Toughest place to be a Paramedic / bus driver / midwife”
What’s the name of the song at 1:28?
Can anyone tell me what the tune is when the 25 tonne truck overturns and the bomberos are returning to base and the track comes on? It sounds like a remix of Manu Chao’s Mr Bobby but it is not the B.o.B sampled track. Sounds like Spanish lyrics on top. Would love to find out. Paul.
does anyone know the name of this show, seems great to watch
Fao85…umm..speak for your self…guatemala city Is one of the most violent cities on earth…its one of the top ten murder capitals of the world fyi
It’s good, but it’s exagerated. I’m a paramedic in Guatemala and I dont’ use bulletproof vest. Sure, there are shootouts, gangfights, car accidents, etc…. but it also has beautiful things; and Guatemala isn’t one of the most violent cities on the planet…
fuck that one person who dislikes this video!! what a douche bag!
@johnray1982 nice comment… but it should be “divorce”…
@consultant2025 Philippines as well is a tough place to be a doctor. Lots of people from boondocks have not yet seen a doctor or health workers and sometimes you have to overcome mountains and rivers just to reach them. If you could just get a book “Doctors to the Barrios”. You would really appreciate the tough job of a remote doctors in the Philippines.
@johnray1982 THAT is HILARIOUS and SO true
here is the youtube link for an hour documentary for the bus driver watch?v=e_Ht_19N8Uw&feature=youtube_gdata_player
